Counsellor and CBT Therapist (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)
My name is Claire Ashburner and I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT). I work with adults, young people and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period.
If any of the above resonates, you may find that having some time-out to explore and unravel how you are feeling may be helpful to you.
Whether you are looking for some short term support, or if you would like to explore at a deeper level over a longer period of time, I offer a warm, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to talk about your feelings, and together we can look at the areas that are causing you emotional distress. These feelings have a habit of staying at the front of our mind and can get in the way of everyday life because our issues, and how we are responding to them, filter into home life, work life and our relationships. Unravelling layers that have built up, possibly over a long period of time, allows you to develop a clearer view of why you have been feeling this way, and help you recognise and understand your patterns, therefore having a greater awareness of yourself, and learning that you can make different choices that are more right for you.
If you are struggling with any of the following issues I can help you
I work in a relational way because my belief is that a warm and trusting relationship is the best ingredient for a therapeutic space, and my approach is empathic and supportive, whilst at the same time gently challenging. I work collaboratively because we are in the therapeutic process together.
My practise is in Berkhamsted within easy reach of Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Aylesbury, Long Marston, Amersham, Cheddington and Pitstone.
Please make contact either by phone 07779 338091 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, or would like to make an initial appointment, or if you want to talk through any uncertainties you may have. I will get back to you within 24 hours - sooner when possible.
